10/17 (TUESDAY) Jean is at RT 66 CASINO HOTEL-30 M West of ALBUQUERQUE, NM. Met Carmen from Spain biking along Rt 66 by herself-had started in Chicago 9/25. Is 56, excellent biker & 1st woman biking alone (beside herself) that she has ever met. Weather is beautiful, wind is gone, 3 to 4,000 ft of climb a day-which she loves being from VT. “Almost” makes me wish I was there-told her wanted to do another ride w/her-only shorter-w/no head winds or rain! Both women are amazing. We fly to Phoenix on Tues (10/24) for reunion.
