What a nice day. Easy biking on scenic trails to Weesen. See Cindy-going to bike to waterfall & then around lake to hotel. We’re taking 90 min boat ride pass waterfalls to Hotel Seehof. Boat is full-makes 5 stops along way. Lots of people-by water-enjoying beautiful day. Have nice room-windows open to lake-no screens on any windows in Europe. Need rest after biking 15 m & boat ride. Take walk-see Jean sitting on bench-didn’t take boat ride either. Listens to books on tape as she bikes. Too hot-83-go back inside watch finals of French Open-Cindy joins us. Eat at hotel rest.-$4.50 water, $9.50 for small salad, $15 spaghetti. Have ham sandwich (3rd of the day) no cheese-terrible bread $7. Take another walk-peaceful-tourists are gone. I think the 4 of us are the only ones on this bike tour. Armand is asleep.

Wake up 8:15-pack-luggage needs to be down in lobby @ 9:00. Good bkft, make 2 sandwiches. Rt shows some steep climbs-decide to stay on flat rd. Lots of traffic-bike paths-bike on wide walking paths most of time. Bike lanes for real bikers. Rapperswil-gorgeous-going to have iron man tomorrow. Eat lunch by water. Go back to see church-see Cindy. Bike to Lachen-check into Hotel Baren-watch 3rd set of French Open w/Cindy. Jean comes in-wants to go to dinner w/us. Asian food again-bring my own water. Good day-raining now.

Hard to write about yesterday. Started out w/Cindy. Since bike trail was closed-suppose to have tough climbs out of town. My 1 good idea-take same walking path to waterfall (yesterday)& cross bridge. Pictures also appeared from yesterday. Going to be our longest day-Cindy stayed @ castle where cows were. On roads-little traffic,bike paths-gravel & good tree lined trails-steep climbs-rivers & farms. Little bit of everything. Cindy found us again-eat lunch on bench w/coke. Now going around Zurich airport-why would they have us go here? Cindy & UT have map meeting-going wrong way-go back 4 m. Meet lady on trail w/5 dogs-speaks English. She’s a nurse-takes her 5 therapy dogs to work everyday-15K (9 m)gets home & rides horse. Thunder & lightning-different rt #s to try to follow.Zurich traffic is unbelievable-find tunnels under rds. Now pouring-UT finds us a porch-stay over an hr. watching famlies biking by. Decide to go-very difficult to bike in Zurich-finally find hotel Sorell-Sparky & Wilson are so glad to be here-9:00 PM. Jean got here 3:30-before rain. Eat Thai w/Cindy. Can’t write anything.
