Driver (dressed in suit) in fancy Mercedes picks us up at 10. Takes us over longer, scenic mt route-answering quest in perfect English. Very small, ecletic hotel-just a few rooms-very nice. Go on hike to fort-no charge-few people-view of town fantastic. Have drink-starts to drizzle-meet Arturo & Becky from San Diego-offer us a ride. Stop in market-impressed-large grocery store next door. Back to hotel-2:30 bike meeting. Get bikes from new company & tickets for ferry in morning. Walk around town-nice & quiet-very few tourists-eat our best meal @ Wok SETÙBAL. Huge restaurant-don’t understand how they do it- were told most people don’t eat until 9. Watch French Open & Ping Pong.

Bathroom across hall-crepes for bkft-wash our dishes.  65 steps to front door-walk to boat-not working-walk 5 miles to Bellum-decide not to visit carriage museum when we see boat. Ride boat back to hotel stop-take nap-go get on boat for 1 1/2 ride.  See Jean at hotel-she had gone to Embassy to get another passport to replace one stolen. On way to Subway discover free piano concert by IDA PELLICCIOLI @ palace. What a treat. Have good meal at Subway. On way back to hostel tell Armand-WE HAVE WALKED AROUND LISBON MORE THAN WE HAVE WALKED AROUND AUSTIN IN 36 YEARS. 😊😊😊 It’s a very easy city to feel at home. Tomorrow we leave. My leader is already sleeping because he does not take naps.
