Start out on busy cobble streets-now along river on bike path-feel better-maybe I can do this @ 72☺☺☺ GPS is pointing the way (arrow pointing backward) along the ocean, beaches-beautiful-now on wooden path-STOP-SAND😯😯. Have to lift bikes over rope. Meet Vicky & Claire from UK-help them lift their bikes over rope-they’re doing trip by themselves. Now in pine forrest-no traffic-have path to ourselves. WIND IS AT OUR BACKS-pushing us along-nice temperature for biking. Stop & eat apple for lunch. 2:15 Arrive in FURADOURO-very small little town-ocean across street. Put bikes in garage- manager has drinks waiting for us-luggage in room-pool, sauna included. Sitting in lobby, Cindy comes in-then big group from Australia. Go to sauna, pool, bed for more relaxation. Armand reads, goes for a walk. Jean gets in after 6-had to make police report in Porto-purse w/passport & credit cards stolen in hotel. Try to go to ocean-too cold & windy. Going to eat in hotel-Armand couldn’t find anything to eat in little restaurants. Day 2 tomorrow.
