MAY 21-22 (TUES) & (WED) 2019 Jenn & her puppy Oakley took us to airport. Austin, Washington DC, Lisbon. Watched 2 movies-a dogs way home & forgot other one. Taxi to Turim Europa-Wilson, Sparky & I need nap-walk to water.

MAY 23 (THURS) Hop on/off buses-saw Jeronimos Monastery, castle w/peacocks-ate at Subway

MAY 24 (FRI) Bus to OCEANARIO (largest aquarium in the world) w/fish & lots of school groups-ride to castle again-bus drivers amazing, narrow streets, lots of traffic-eat at Burger King-Armand has beanburger-not good. Tomorrow go to Porto.

Up early-we walk around lake-doesn’t go back to camp-when we get back-everything is clean-ready to leave. Drive around base-see where my dad worked & lived when stationed here-big house-already gone-never visited. Stop at Denneys for bkft-eat too much. Traffic is terrible-Jim drives, Armand sleeps. Arrive at Springhill Suites-downtown Seattle-greeted by Dorothy-her family hosting OSTBY FAMILY REUNION. Nice room-decide to walk to Pike Market-then ride ferris wheel-great views-then fly over WA ride. Walk back-stop at vegan rest.-see dog sitting on bench. Lillien just adopted Betty 2 weeks ago-amazingly well behaved. Was sent from Houston-too many dogs in TX. Lillien is from Brazil-told her my grandkids learning Portuguese in Miami. Then I stop for Mex food. Get back to hotel-more visiting. Now really tired.

Jim drives to Ft. Lewis-Martha drives us to Mt. Rainier. Cloudy on way up but clears when we get there-perfect view. Stop at another waterfall w/rainbow. Time to find Jim at Ft. Lewis–has set up RV & cooked spaghetti-tastes great. Wash clothes-climb up ladder for last night. Really enjoyed & appreciated our RV experience & adventures w/Martha & Jim. Martha is Great planner & tour guide.

6:30-climb down-not getting easier-heard traffic & trains-slept good though. Martha & I walk to water-no wind surfers yet. Leave at 8-Jim & Armand in RV, Martha & I in Jeep-Sparky, Willy, Wilson serve as lookouts. Arrive at Mt St Helens visitor center-watch film of volcano. Drive to Hummock Trail-tough 3 m walk-only ones on trail except for frog guard on bridge-happy to see car. A & J stay & eat at RV-Martha & I drive to Castle Rock-flowers on every corner-beautiful. Shrimp basket for dinner at local rest. When leaving next day- Armand said we stayed here on West Coast bike ride in 2013. Biked from Seattle to San Diego w/Jean & Lynn.
