BIKED 20 MILES W/MOLLY & WHITNEY (BOTH ON ELECTRIC BIKES). I’M ON MY ROAD BIKE THAT WENT CROSS COUNTRY IN 2002. IT WENT 3 MPH UPHILL & 37 MPH DOWNHILL. I WAS EXHAUSTED-TOOK NAP-TOOK SWIM-DINNER AT LODGE- NOT AS GOOD AS MOLLY’S.

GONSOULINS GO TO ARKANSAS
JULY 15TH (FRI) 2022 AUSTIN TO DALLAS
Left Harley & Libby & house to the care of our good friend BECKY again. They are always glad when she comes to visit. Drive to Dallas, eat dinner w/the Crowleys & spend the night w/my sister Nancy & animals (Sugar (dog) & 3 cats-Symba, Trouble & Scouter.

Another huge breakfast at DARLIN’S DINER. Took electric bike out to show TAMI-she’s not riding today. Decide to ride E-Bike-glad I did. Our leader TAMARA-gives instructions-tells us about bridge under repair-don’t go there!!!!! I’m not good w/maps or directions. Follow GEORGE because I want to get back & bike battery getting low. Find bridge under repair. Tell us we CAN’T CROSS. Then say come on-GEORGE SAYS IT’S CLOSER. OK. Unbelievable-they put boards for us to get to bridge-narrow path-then see big ditch. Man picks up my 70 lb bike & carries it across mud ditch-then takes George’s bike. I’m down to 2 bars of battery-afraid not to make it. Get back around 1-Armand had bike trouble & gets in 10 mins later. Tells me that MARLENE fell off bike in pot hole. She’s ok-NANCY tested negative for COVID. We packed up & didn’t see anyone to say goodbye or to thank. Glad to get home to HARLEY & LIBBY-our friend BECKY took very good care of them. I’m grateful to Tamara & the EASY RIDERS for another adventure. Armand tells me they have another ride this Friday. I want to go but it’s only Monday-lots of time to make excuses!!!!!

FLATONIA- MOULTON-FLATONIA 26 MILES NOV 4
Ate huge, delicious breakfast at DARLIN’S DINER. Group meets & Tamara gives us directions (maps). Cold & windy-take lots of pictures of riders & COWS. Ride 13 m for lunch at KLOESEL’S STEAKHOUSE. Huge hamburgers & sandwiches-still full from bkft. Bike back & later meet at BISTRO RED VAULT for dinner. Very expensive & not much for Armand to eat. Good day,

JIM EATING THE BIGGEST HAMBURGER I’VE EVER SEEN

WILSON & SPARKY ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Nov 3 (Wed) AUSTIN TO FLATONIA, TX
Armand folded my electric bike & put it in the back. Next loaded our 2 bikes on bike rack in the pouring RAIN. Left at 10, drove to Flatonia-90 m in RAIN. Checked in to the OLLE HOTEL-sharing 2 bedroom little house w/good friend TAMI from Pearl Land.
EASY RIDERS are a group of “older bikers” who put on weekly rides in Austin. They have great locations for 3 day rides. We don’t do the FRI rides because I can’t keep up & don’t want to embarrass myself. Maybe I can w/my electric bike.
We had pot luck that night as everyone visited & told of past adventures. My stories pale in comparison to their experience & adventures all over the world-very impressive group. Tamara told us about the ride tomorrow-would be cold & windy, but NO rain. Went to bed early- the TRAINS roared by & seemed to be right outside window.
Tami, Katherine, Joe, Marlene, Armand Joann, George, Me, Gerry

My niece Jessica in Denton, TX has 2 young, cute bikers. I told them I liked biking & they wanted to go. Disaster happened when I tried to buckle Cora’s helmet & made her cry. Luckily she still let me go with her. I told them I always take animals with me on my trips. CORA let me take RAINBOW & HAZEL reluctantly let me take SNOWFLAKE.

THEY CAN’T WAIT TO GO FOR A RIDE WITH HAZEL & CORA
FRAN DID A FANTASTIC JOB PUTTING THIS REUNION TOGETHER —THANK YOU
ARMAND WAS CHOOSEN TO ORGANIZE NEXT REUNION–(not there when we voted)
MAYBE WISCONSIN OR IOWA OR CALIFORNIA-any one with other options???????????
Armand & I enjoy walking around for a few hrs before FRAN is so kind to drive us to the airport. Thank you Becky for picking us up at the airport at 11 at night.
SEPT 15 (WED) SAY GOOD BYE TO DONNA
Eat breakfast, show PETOSKEY BIKER BABE REUNION 2021. I’m getting better at putting my pictures together. Donna is leaving because she has to get back & take her grandson to Europe. She is a very special grandmother-when the grandkids turn 10, she takes them any where in the world they want to go. She also hosted one of our reunions in Lake Tahoe at her beautiful house. She called herself the “reluctant biker” in 2002. She is an amazing woman as are all the women that biked across America that year.
